Let’s talk about the FIFA CLEARING HOUSE 😥😩😭 – PART 3

Thank you once again for sharing your experiences, but most importantly, for being respectful to other’s comments.

I have received a few experiences shared privately where individuals didn’t feel comfortable sharing them publicly. These were mainly about their MAs, unsurprisingly.

Anyway…. As promised in my previous post, I have the second scenario below:

SCENARIO TWO – No communication received from the Member Association (“MA”)

FACTS ⚽️⚽️

The international transfer of the player took place during the winter 2023/24 transfer window between two UEFA clubs.

The training club has an active TMS account 🖥️.

The training club was the sole academy involved in the player’s development in that country. This amounted to approx. 50% of the solidarity compensation (12–15: 20% and 16-18: 30%).

No contact was made to invite the training club to the EPP process ☹️

The training club contacted the MA to make itself known, but no response was received. The contact was made via the MA’s official email address 📧.

After waiting patiently for a few weeks, both the MA (again) and the FCH were contacted via official communication channels.

No response was received from the MA.

The FCH responded and confirmed that the EPP process commenced since January and was in its “completion” stage 😤.

Fortunately, the MA acted quickly to rectify this after I made direct contact with an official at the MA.

The training club received an invitation via email today (18/03/2024) to review the EPP via TMS as the process was wrapping up in 24 hrs.

PROBLEM
In this scenario, there was no contact from FIFA or the MA, even though the club had an active TMS account and had used it many times before! 🤷🏽‍♀️

If I didn’t make contact with the MA, the process would have completed without the training club, and although yes there may be a FIFA process in place to get relief, who needs the hassle ? Besides, some clubs can’t afford the FIFA/legal fees.

PS – Some claims via the FIFA Tribunal are free 🫶🏽

QUESTION
How come the training club was not contacted despite having an active TMS account ? 🫤

RECOMMENDATIONS
More diligence required from the MAs.

A dedicated individual or department that deals solely with FCH and EPPs, possibly at regional FA level.

A dedicated active phone line or email address for contacting this individual/dept, so that once a training club is aware that a player it trained has been transferred to a new club, they can make contact and mark “present”.

I’d love to hear your experiences with FCH so far from whichever country you are operating from. It will be interesting to compare/share any discrepancies/challenges.
