Prince Boateng (born November 10, 1997) is a Ghanaian midfielder currently employed by perennial Ghana Premier League campaigners Kumasi King Faisal.
First promoted from Faisal's youth ranks to its senior side aged only 16, Boateng - no relation of Schalke's Kevin-Prince Boateng but hardly a worse talent - stormed to meaningful impact in his debut term, scoring in exactly half of the 16 games he featured in for the club in Ghana's second tier, including two in the season-climaxing fixture, to help Faisal gain promotion.
Thereafter, Boateng's development as an enticing prospect has progressed healthily under the watch of Faisal owner Alhaji Karim Gruzah, one of Ghana's more reputable soccer administrators and the man largely credited for the discovery and honing of Samuel Osei-Kufuor into the world-class centre-back the former Bayern Munich star later became.
Faisal competed just two seasons in the top division following their return but, while the run lasted, Boateng took the opportunity to carve a niche for himself. Scoring a combined 20 goals in just those two campaigns, it is little wonder Boateng has enjoyed his fair fill of international call-ups in the ensuing years, having represented - and excelled for, as the statistics highlighted in the accompanying fact file reveal - Ghana's home-based national team (the 'local' Black Stars), as well as the national U17s (the Black Starlets) and U20s (the Black Satellites).
Capable of playing with both feet and as adept at scoring as at creating, young Boateng, with all he has proven thus far in his career, appears to have quite a future ahead of him.
